Hello! Welcome to Handcrafting with Heather.  I’m so glad you came to visit.  I hope that my work inspires you as we create together.

My name is Heather Van Looy. I am an educator who loves her crafts! Although I enjoy my work, my most important job is being mom to my precious son, Carter. He is the best part of even the worst of days! I am blessed to have the privilege of being his mother.

Although I can think of many words to describe myself, creative & crafty would definitely be near the top of the list. I have enjoyed many different art forms over the years. I am a photographer, I enjoy jewelry design, digital scrapbooking, paper crafting & sewing, just to name a few. If you can think of it, I’ve probably tried it. Most recently, I’ve been creating beautiful tumblers and cups with epoxy, glitter & micas.  It brings me great pleasure to explore all the different media and techniques to combine textures and elements to create something beautiful.
