My card share for the Happy Stampers Blog Hop today shows two different variations of the card I shared with you last week featuring the Wild about Flowers stamp set from Stampin’ Up! If you missed that post, you can see it here. I thought it would be fun to show you how you can change the look of a card by simply using a different piece of designer series paper.
This week’s color challenge is Blackberry Bliss, Hello Honey, and Old Olive.
I used the Farmers Market DSP for each of my cards, but by changing the stamping a little, and switching up the colors of the layered panel, you get several pretty looks.
Card Recipe and Tips:
Card Base: 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″, scored and folded at 4-1/4″
Layers: Very Vanilla 4″ x 5-1/4″ (two, front of card and inside panel), Farmers Market DSP 3-7/8″ x 5-1/8″, Blackberry Bliss/Old Olive 2-5/8″ x 4-1/4″, Hello Honey/Blackberry Bliss 2-3/8″ x 4″
Art Piece: Very Vanilla 2-1/4″ x 3-7/8″
- Stamp the images on Very Vanilla card stock. Vary the height of the flowers to add visual interest.
- Stamp just a few flowers, or layer them to look like a field of wild flowers.
- Layer the panels for the art piece and then tie with ribbon. I run adhesive across the back of the panel to help hold the ribbon in place. Putting a mini-glue dot behind where you want the knot to be helps to tie neatly.
- I used Stampin’ Dimensionals to raise up the art piece and give the card more depth.
- Don’t forget to finish the inside of your card for an extra special touch.

Very pretty cards Heather 😀
beautiful cards Heather and thank you so much for the card you sent me too, I received it yesterday and it so brightened my day
Beautiful cards Heather! Love the DSP that you used on the backgrounds. Perfect images with the colors! 🙂
These are so pretty! Thanks for sharing both-you paired them perfectly with the DSP. I think I may have to CASE these-they are wonderful!
Oh my – I just love these, Heather! I’m for sure going to CASE them. Great job!! 🙂
Cute cards. Love the different ways to use same stamp set.
What wonderful cards.. I absolutely adore the insides of the cards. Most of the designers forget the inside of the card and envelopes .. Thank you for sharing.
