Celebrate your Big Day with Cake! – Stampin’ Up!

As soon as I saw the 2015 Spring Occasions Catalog from Stampin’ Up! I just knew I had to get my hands on the new chalkboard paper and Color Box Chalk Ink Pads!  The Big Day stamp set from Sale-A-Bration seemed like just the perfect accompaniment too!

Big Day Chalkboard (2 of 4)

I just love Sale-A-Bration!  It is so fun to get FREE product with every $50 purchase!  I love how the Best Year Ever DSP compliments the colors of this card, and the Best Year Ever Accessory Pack had the perfect ribbon for my bow too!  So, basically, about 90% of this card was created with products that I got for FREE!

Big Day Chalkboard (3 of 4)

I am a big fan of the effect that was achieved with the chalkboard paper and chalk inks too!  In order to get the white on black chalk effect, I used white craft ink (which requires a little extra drying time, so you have to be a little careful when assembling your card.)

Big Day Chalkboard (4 of 4)

I finished off the inside of my card with two of the sentiments & the cake image from the Big Day stamp set.  I just love the cute images and the sayings in this set.  Such a cute card, and with very little effort!

Big Day Chalkboard (1 of 4)

I really like how this card turned out.  It makes me think of a chalkboard menu in a quaint little bakery.  Of course, as always, if you are a fan of this project, I hope you will pin it to Pinterest for me.  You will find a “pin it” button at the very bottom of this post following the supply list.  And remember, you can earn several of the products used in this card for FREE with a $50 purchase during Sale-A-Bration (ends March 31, 2015)!

I hope you will consider selecting me as your demonstrator for your stamping needs.  If you need any supplies you can shop now in my online store!  Feel free to drop me an email if you have any questions or if you would like a catalog.  I’m here to help!

Happy Stamping!

A Sketched Birthday for Carter – Stampin’ Up!

In honor of my son Carter’s third birthday today, I have some party favors embellished using the Sketched Birthday stamp set from Stampin’ Up! (wood mount and clear mount).  We are having a small birthday party at the Build-a-Bear Workshop followed by a teddy bear picnic.  I bought a red and white checked table cloth, and I wanted to brighten up the table and make it festive with some Stampin’ Up! magic!

Sketched Birthday (1 of 6)

Next time you entertain, you should definitely consider adding some stamped details to your table.  Your guests will be very impressed.  If you enjoy today’s project, I would love to hear from you.  Please leave me a comment and I will enter you into my drawing.  During the month of April, I will be doing a drawing each Sunday.  One lucky winner will receive one of the featured products from Sale-a-bration.  So, if you missed out on the free items during the sale, now is your chance to win one!  Also, if you enjoy reading my posts, why not have them delivered to your inbox automatically.  Just click on the “follow” button in the sidebar.

I found this tiny teddy bear punch in the back of a drawer (I have no idea when/where I got it from), and I decided it would be a perfect way to embellish the favor bags for the party.  A little DSP and the Label Love stamp set… and “voila” you have a cute gift bag for the guests in a matter of minutes!

Birthday Basics Card in a Box – Stampin’ Up!

I have been seeing these cute “card in a box” projects all over Pinterest lately, and I just couldn’t resist doing one for my son Carter’s third birthday!  We are going to have a small party at Build-a-Bear Workshop followed by  a teddy bear picnic.  It just seemed like the perfect opportunity to try a card in a box.  I love, love, love how this one turned out!  The Birthday Basics DSP was the perfect pair for my birthday picnic theme.  Another thing I love about these cards is that you get a huge “WOW” factor right out of the envelope… but they are really easy to make!

If you like my post today, please leave me a comment.  I love hearing from you and sharing ideas.  Plus, as an added benefit,  you will be entered into my monthly drawing for a chance to win a free card.  Also, If you aren’t already a subscriber, please consider following me via email.   Just click on the “follow” button in the sidebar.

Carter's Birthday Invite (4 of 18)

Now, when I decided I wanted to do a card in a box, I had no idea how to do it, so I did a search to find a video tutorial.  I have to thank Stamp and Scrap with Frenchie for her great video tutorial.  You can find a link to her instructions at the bottom of this post below the supply list.  I modified some of the dimensions for my card, but the basic premise for the box is the same.  The other great thing about these cards is they fold up and fit into a regular A2 invitation style envelope!  I made my own envelope using the envelope punch board so that the colors would coordinate.  I love that tool, it makes creating custom envelopes so easy!

Carter's Birthday Invite (16 of 18)

I chose Bermuda Bay card stock for my card base, and adhered panels of the birthday hat and plaid designer series papers from the Birthday Basics DSP pack to the sides of my box.  I used sticky strip to hold the box together.  I wanted the plaid paper to resemble a table cloth at a picnic.  Then, I printed the invitation details and the words from the teddy bear picnic song onto Whisper White card stock using my computer’s printer.  Then, I cut out my printed panels and used my Real Red ink and a sponge dauber to ink around the edges of the panels.  I adhered the party details to the back and the song lyrics to the underside of the box flaps using SNAIL adhesive.

Carter's Birthday Invite (13 of 18)

Carter's Birthday Invite (15 of 18)

Once the foundation of my box was finished, it was time to create my embellishments.  I wish I had taken pictures of the process along the way, but I didn’t. I will do my best to describe the steps I took, but please feel free to contact me with questions if you have them.  I used the following punches to create the teddy bear, cupcake, balloons, and banners:

Teddy Bear:

  • x1 – extra large oval punch – Soft Suede (body)
  • x1 – 1″ circle punch – Soft Suede (head)
  • x3 – small oval – Soft Suede (arms/feet)
  • x1 – small oval – Baked Brown Sugar (belly)
  • x2 – 1/2″ circle – Soft Suede (ears)
  • x3 – 1/2″ circle – Baked Brown Sugar (mouth/paws)
  • x2 – circle from owl builder punch – Baked Brown Sugar (inside of ears)
  • x6 – circle from cupcake builder punch – Baked Brown Sugar (toes)
  • x2 – circle from cupcake builder punch – Whisper White (eyes)

Once I had punched all my pieces, I cut one of the Soft Suede small ovals “yin yang” style to create the two arms.  Then I used my sponge dauber to ink the edges of EVERYTHING (except the eyes and toes) with Soft Suede ink.  I used Multipurpose Liquid Glue to put everything together.  then I colored on the nose and the pupils with a sharpie.  I used my Stampin’ Chalk Marker to add a little gleam to the eyes.

Carter's Birthday Invite (3 of 18)

Balloons – I chose a variety of bright colors for the balloons.  Each one was made from the following list of materials:

  • x2- small oval punch
  • x1 – foot of the owl from the owl builder punch.
  • strip of clear plastic – window sheets
  • twine from the Sweet Sorbet Accessory Pack (Sale-a-bration item)
  • Stampin’ Chalk Marker

To make the balloons I punched two ovals and sandwiched the owl foot, twine, and plastic strip between them to create the balloon.  Then I added a reflection with the Stampin’ Chalk Marker.

Carter's Birthday Invite (1 of 18)

Cupcake:  The cupcake was created with the Cupcake Builder Punch and the Create a Cupcake stamp set (wood mount and clear mount).  I stamped the cupcake wrapper in Pear Pizzazz ink and then punched it out with the cupcake builder punch.  The frosting was punched from Pool Party card stock.  I colored the candles and the cherry using my Stampin’ Write Markers in Real Red, Rich Razzleberry, Bermuda Bay, Daffodil Delight, and Pumpkin Pie (Brights Collection and Regals Collection).   Then I cut out the candles with paper snips and added a wick with a black pen.  I punched the cherry out using my cupcake builder punch.  Then, I glued everything together using multipurpose liquid glue.

Once my balloons, cupcake, and teddy bear were finished and ready to be added to the box, I added two strips of bermuda bay along the inside of the box (see the video tutorial for instructions) to support the embellishments.  Then I stuck everything on with mini glue dots, making sure my embellishments weren’t taller than the back of the box.  This ensures that it will all fit nicely into the envelope.

Carter's Birthday Invite (9 of 18)

Banners & Greeting:  I colored my birthday greeting from the Label Love stamp set (wood mount and clear mount) with my Bermuda Bay, Rich Razzleberry, and Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Write Markers. Then I stamped it on Whisper White and punched it out using the Artisan Label Punch (The Label Love stamp set and Artisan Punch are available as a bundle for 15% discount; wood mount and clear mount). I stamped my banners using the Banner Blast stamp set (Sale-a-bration item) and punched them out using the Banner Punch (Sale-a-bration item).  Finally, I adhered the greeting and the banners to the background of the box using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Carter's Birthday Invite (6 of 18)

Simply Sketched Birthday Wishes Card – Stampin’ Up!

Apparently I can’t tear myself away from the Simply Sketched (wood mount and clear mount), stamp set from Stampin’ Up!  It seems to be my favorite lately.  I love how it looks with watercoloring, and it just lent itself well to last Tuesday’s color challenge from Splitcoast Stampers.  And, I did tell you to expect to see that little bird appear in a card soon!  Well, here it is… just as I predicted. LOL.  Remember, the Simply Sketched stamp set is one of the hostess sets available through Stampin’ Rewards.

If you like what I’ve created today, I would love it if you would leave me a comment.  At the end of the month I will do a drawing and one lucky person who left me a comment will receive a handcrafted card in the mail!  Also, if you enjoy reading my posts, why not have them delivered to your inbox automatically.  Just click on the “follow” button in the sidebar.  I can’t even tell you how thrilled I am every time I get a new follower!  I just love sharing ideas with you guys and hearing all about the great project ideas you have too.

Siimply Sketched Birthday Wishes (1 of 8)

Today’s card was inspired by The Monday Lunchtime Sketch Challenge 306 & Splitcoast Stampers Color Challenge #469:

I began my card with a  Whisper White card base.  Then I added panels of Always Artichoke card stock and Pistachio Pudding Designer Series Paper from the Sweet Sorbet pack (Sale-a-bration item) using SNAIL adhesive.

Siimply Sketched Birthday Wishes (7 of 8)

Next, I used Staz-on Black ink and my Stamp-a-ma-jig to stamp the bird and leaf elements from the Simply Sketched stamp set onto a panel of Whisper White card stock.  I used a Blender Pen  and my Classic Stampin’ Pads in Rose Red, Marina Mist, and Always Artichoke to color my stamped image with a watercolor effect.  Then, I used a sponge dauber to ink around the edges of the panel with Marina Mist ink.  Finally, I layered my artwork onto a mat of Always Artichoke and adhered it to the front of the card using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Siimply Sketched Birthday Wishes (2 of 8)

For my greeting , I chose the “Birthday Wishes” sentiment from Simply Sketched.  I stamped it in Marina Mist ink on Whisper White card stock, and inked around the edge of the panel using a sponge dauber.  Then I layered that onto a panel of Pistachio Pudding card stock, inking the edges of that panel with Always Artichoke ink.  That combination was attached to a panel of Always Artichoke card stock (also inked with the same color) using Stampin’ Dimensionals.  Then the entire greeting was added to the front of the card using SNAIL Adhesive.  I added a string of Basic Pearls Jewel Accents below the greeting for a little extra touch of class.

Siimply Sketched Birthday Wishes (6 of 8)

For the finishing touches on the inside of my card I layered strips of Pistachio Pudding DSP and Always Artichoke card stock and added them to the bottom of the card.

I’m really happy with how this card turned out in the end, but it was a journey getting there.  I was a little stumped by the colors of the challenge this time.  At first, I was trying to incorporate all three colors into my paper selection, but the blue just didn’t look like it belonged.  Then, I remembered that cute little bird and inspiration was born!  That is what I love about card challenges.  They make you think differently than you might otherwise think.  I would love to hear what inspires you too.  Don’t forget to leave me a comment, for your chance to win a handcrafted card!  Also, if you liked my post today, please pin it to Pinterest for me.  I am new to blogging and I would love your help in developing a blog following.  If you scroll to the bottom of the post, you will find a “pin it” button just below my supply list for the project.

Today’s card features the Simply Sketched (wood mount and clear mount), Papillon Potpouri (wood mount and clear mount) and Perfect Pennants (wood mount and clear mount) stamp sets from Stampin’ Up!  The Simply Sketched stamp set is one of the lovely hostess items you can earn through the Stampin’ Rewards program.  I am in love with the flower in this set! This is the second card I’ve created with it this week.  I think you can see by the different colors I used how versatile that little flower can be.  (There’s a cute little bird in that set too.  I haven’t used that one yet, but I expect you will be seeing it here soon.)

If you like what I’ve created today, I would love it if you would leave me a comment.  On March 31st I will do a drawing and one lucky person who left me a comment will receive a handcrafted card in the mail!  Also, if you enjoy reading my posts, why not have them delivered to your inbox automatically.  Just click on the “follow” button in the sidebar.  I get super excited every time that I see someone else is following my blog.  It just makes my day to know you are following along with me as I create these posts!

Simply Sketched Perfect Pennants (5 of 6)

Today’s card was inspired by:

I began my card with a  Whisper White card base.  Then I added a panel of Tempting Turquoise card stock using SNAIL adhesive.  Next, I dry embossed a panel of Island Indigo card stock using the Lacy Brocade embossing folder and added that to the front of my card.  For my focal point, I layered panels of Tempting Turquoise and Daffodil Delight as the base for my three dimensional elements.

Simply Sketched Perfect Pennants (3 of 6)

Next, I used Staz-on Black ink and my Stamp-a-ma-jig to stamp the flower and leaf elements from the Simply Sketched stamp set onto a square of  watercolor paper. I also stamped an additional flower and leaf on another scrap of watercolor paper to add some dimension later.  I colored my stamped images using the Brights Collection Stampin’ Write Markers (Tempting Turquoise, Real Red, Pumpkin Pie, & Daffodil Delight) and a Blender Pen to give it a watercolor effect.  I cut out the extra flower and leaves using paper snips.  Then, I  attached the leaves to the foreground of my square with mini glue dots and used Stampin’ Dimensionals to add my flower on top of the one on the square of watercolor paper for some extra depth.  Then I stamped the butterfly from the Papillon Potpourri stamp set onto some Whisper White card stock using Staz-on Black and colored it with my markers.  Then I cut it out using the Bitty Butterflies Punch.  I added a Basic Rhinestones Jewel Accent to the butterfly and added it to my square using Stampin Dimensionals.  I adhered my watercolored panel to a square of Whisper White and added the finished piece to the front of the card using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Simply Sketched Perfect Pennants (1 of 6)

Then I stamped the “You Make Me Happy” greeting from the Perfect Pennants stamp set on Whisper White card stock using my Tempting Turquoise Classic Stampin’ Pad.  I cut that out using the Banners Framelits Dies (2nd from the center).  I also cut a banners in Tempting Turquoise and Island Indigo (3rd from the center). (Remember, the Perfect Pennants stamp set and the Banners Framelits can be purchased as a bundle for 15% off, wood mount and clear mount.)  I layered my greeting onto the Island Indigo banner and trimmed it down. Then I repeated the process with the Tempting Turquoise banner.  Finally, I finished my design off with a button from the Designer Subtles Collection and some bakers twine from the Sweet Sorbet Accessory Pack (Sale-a-bration item).

Simply Sketched Perfect Pennants (4 of 6)

For my finishing touch, I stamped the leaves from Simply Sketched and the butterfly from Papillon Potpouri on the inside of my card and colored them to match the front of the card.

I love how my watercolored square turned out.  The colors just pop off the page, and the dimension added by the 3-D elements make it all really jump out at you.  If you liked my post today, please pin it to Pinterest for me.  I am new to blogging and I would love your help in developing a blog following.  If you scroll to the bottom of the post, you will find a “pin it” button just below my supply list for the project… and, don’t forget to leave me a comment for your chance to win a handcrafted card!

See Ya Later Birthday Card Inspired by Florida Gators – Stampin’ Up!

Today’s card features the See Ya Later stamp set from Stampin’ Up! (Sale-a-bration item).  This week’s color scheme was inspired by the Florida Gators.  My boss’ birthday was this week and practically every stamp set I own is floral or something else “girly.”  My self imposed “card challenge” was to create a card that my boss would love, so I pulled my inspiration from his favorite college team.  I just got home from team trivia with some people from work, where we presented him with his card.  His first comment was, “Thanks guys, I love the color scheme you’ve got going on there!”  Exactly what I was going for!  I think this card turned out great, and I love that the color scheme could be adjusted for any sports team.  I will definitely keep that one in mind in the future.

I would love to hear what you think of today’s card and to hear your ideas for masculine cards too.  I can use all the help I can get in that arena.  Also, as an added benefit, on March 31st I will do a drawing and one lucky person who left me a comment will receive a handcrafted card in the mail!  If you enjoy reading my posts, why not have them delivered to your inbox automatically?  Just click on the “follow” button in the sidebar.  I love seeing my blog audience grow.  It makes me very excited.  (I know, I’m a total craft nerd, but what can I say? LOL.)

See Ya Later Birthday UF (2 of 11)

I began my card with a  Pacific Point card base.  Then I added a panels of Tangerine Tango card stock and Garden Green Designer Series Paper using SNAIL adhesive.

See Ya Later Birthday UF (6 of 11)

Next, I colored the birthday stamp from the See Ya Later stamp set using Stampin’ Write Markers in Tangerine Tango, Garden Green, Pacific Point, and Daffodil Delight (Brights Collection and Regals Collection Markers).  I stamped my image onto Whisper White card stock and cut it out using the Ovals Collection Framelits Die (2nd one counting from the inside out).  I used a sponge dauber and my Tangerine Tango Classic Stampin’ Pad to add some color to the edges of my sentiment, then I used my Banner Punch (Sale-a-bration item) to punch a variety of banners in Pacific Point  and Tangerine Tango Designer Series Paper (Brights Collection Designer Series Paper Stack).  I adhered my banners to the back of my birthday greeting using mini glue dots.  Then I used Stampin’ Dimensionals to add the whole thing to the front of my card.  I felt the card needed a finishing detail, so I added three brads from the Vintage Trinkets Accents & Elements set to the bottom right corner of the panels.

See Ya Later Birthday UF (7 of 11)

To finish off the inside of my card, I wrapped some orange grosgrain ribbon around a panel of whisper white card stock.  I added three banners at the bottom to mirror the design on the front.

I loved seeing the reaction of my boss when he opened his card.  It was very gratifying to know that my card hit its mark.  If you liked my post today, please pin it to Pinterest for me.  I need your help to get the word out, so that people will come read my blog!  If you scroll to the bottom of the post, you will find a “pin it” button just below my supply list for the project… and, don’t forget to leave me a comment for your chance to win a handcrafted card!

Remember you can get the See Ya Later stamp set or the Banner Punch for FREE with a $50 purchase until March 31st.  Both of these items are great ones to have in your stamping tool kit.  You can shop in my online store by clicking here.

Simply Sketched Just for You! – Stampin’ Up!

Today’s card features the Simply Sketched stamp set from Stampin’ Up! (wood mount and clear mount).  This beautiful stamp set is one of our lovely hostess items available through the Stampin’ Rewards program.  I just love the way it turned out with the watercoloring!  I also love that this card was the perfect combination for four different challenges this week!  I find it invigorating to try to combine more than one challenge into one card, but four is a new record for me!  So, lots of props to the design teams who provided me with the necessary inspiration for today’s card:   Dynamic Duos #93, Mojo Monday sketch #336,  Splitcoast Stampers CAS #263, and SUO Challenges #92.  I have to say, I really enjoy participating in challenges.  I find that it makes me think creatively to figure out how I can meet the constraints presented by the design teams.  I highly recommend it to get those creative juices flowing!

Please leave me a comment to let me know what you think of my card today.  I really appreciate hearing your feedback.  It is so uplifting to know that someone admires your work.  Also, as an added benefit, on March 31st I will do a drawing and one lucky person who left me a comment will receive a handcrafted card in the mail!  Also, if you enjoy reading my posts, why not have them delivered to your inbox automatically.  Just click on the “follow” button in the sidebar.  I get super excited every time that I see someone else is following my blog.  It just makes my day to know you are following along with me as I create these posts!

Simply Sketched (6 of 12)

I began my card with a  Whisper White card base.  Then I added a panel of Sahara Sand paper from the Sweet Sorbet DSP pack (Sale-a-bration item) using SNAIL adhesive.  Next, I dry embossed a panel of Blushing Bride card stock using the decorative dots embossing folder (Sale-a-bration item).  I layered that panel onto a panel of Crumb Cake card stock and added them to the front of my card. I used the 4th largest Circles Collection Framelits Die (counting from the outside in toward the center) to cut a circle of Crumb Cake card stock to mat my floral focal point.  I used the next smallest circle die to trace a circle in pencil on Whisper White card stock, then I used my stamp-a-ma-jig to place the flower and leaf stamps where I wanted them in the circle using  Staz-on Black Ink.  I stamped another flower and leaf on a scrap of Whisper White to cut out for my three dimensional element.

Simply Sketched (5 of 12)

For my watercoloring, I pressed my Sahara Sand  and Blushing Bride Classic Stampin’ Pads onto a ceramic plate and used some water and a paintbrush to color in my stamped images.  Then I cut out my circle using paper snips because I wanted to have the leaves overlap the circumference of the circle.  I also cut out the extra leaf and flower stamps.  I attached the leaves with mini glue dots, and used Stampin’ Dimensionals to add my flower to the front of the card for some extra depth.

Simply Sketched (3 of 12)

Finally, I finished my card front with some pearls and the “Just for You” sentiment from the Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set (wood mount and clear mount) in Staz-on Black.  I punched the greeting out using the word window punch and attached it with Stampin’ Dimensionals.  Because I wanted my sentiment to be small, I lined up the edge of the punch near the beginning of my greeting.  Then I attached it to a post-it note to serve as a handle and punched it again from the other side.  I just love how versatile Stampin’ Up! punches are.  With a little ingenuity you can really do so many different things with them.

Simply Sketched (10 of 12)

Of course, I couldn’t leave the inside of my card naked, so I stamped the images from the front on the inside and quickly colored them using the same watercoloring technique as before.  I think it makes such a difference when you add a little detail the the inside of the card.  It just seems to tie everything together and take your design to the next level.

I am very pleased with how this card turned out.  It was actually my first attempt at watercoloring on a card, and I think it turned out fabulously!  I hope that you agree.

If you would like to earn the Simply Sketched stamp set as a hostess reward, I hope you will consider contacting me.  Of course, you can always shop in my online store by clicking here.  Remember you can earn the Sweet Sorbet Designer Series Paper or the Decorative Dots embossing folder for FREE (Sale-a-bration items) with a $50 purchase.

Gifting with “Hooray for a Party” Digital Studio & New Weekly Deals from Stampin’ Up!

Today’s share is a great gift that you can give for any occasion featuring Hooray for a Party Digital Download (Sale-a-bration item available FREE with a $50 purchase through March 31st!) from Stampin’ Up!   My cousin and his wife just recently had a baby, so I made them this Soup-in-a-jar gift to make life easier during this time of sleepless nights.  I used My Digital Studio to create a cute label for the jar.

I just love giving this “Friendship Soup” as a gift.  It is inexpensive, beautiful, and most of all tasty!  If you enjoy this post today, please leave me a comment.  I would love to hear what you think.  On March 31st, I will do a drawing and one lucky person who left me a comment will receive a handcrafted card in the mail!  Also, if you enjoy reading my posts, why not have them delivered to your inbox automatically.  Just click on the “follow” button in the sidebar.

Hooray for a Party MDS1

I designed my label using My Digital Studio (MDS) (digital download and disk)  from Stampin’ Up!  To begin, I built the label in MDS so that it looked the way I wanted it to when it was on my jar.  I used the digital papers and stamps from the Hooray for a Party Digital Download, and created my shapes using the digital versions of the decorative label punch and the modern label punch (included with My Digital Studio Software).  I just love using digital punches because you can resize them any way that you want!

Screen Shot 2014-02-27 at 9.49.49 PM

Then, once the label looked the way I wanted it to, I separated all the different elements before printing them.

Screen Shot 2014-02-27 at 9.51.36 PM

I printed the design on Whisper White card stock and cut out each element.  I layered the main label pieces and attached them using SNAIL adhesive. Then I cut out the stamps and attached them with Stampin’ Dimensionals.  I finished the label with some coordinating ribbon and tied it to my mason jar.

Hooray for a Party MDS3

Now, I know what you are thinking… what about the soup?  First of all, this soup is delicious!  It is also super easy to make (both in the jar, and afterward)!  I like to make a bunch of these and give several as gifts and keep a few in my pantry too.  If you would like to make some yourself, you can find the recipe here. I have made a couple of modifications to the original recipe.  First, I add 1/2 cup of wild long grain rice to the jar because I think the dark color makes a very pretty layer.  To compensate for the extra dry ingredient, I also increase the water to 3-1/2 quarts.  This makes a BIG batch of soup.  I usually serve 1/2 the batch to my family during the week and freeze the rest.

Hooray for a Party MDS7

This Friendship Soup-in-a-Jar makes the perfect gift.  It is always very well received.  I hope that you have enjoyed reading about it.  If you did, please pin it to Pinterest for me.  I am new to blogging and I would love your help in developing a blog following.  If you scroll to the bottom of the post, you will find a “pin it” button just below my supply list for the project… and, don’t forget to leave me a comment for your chance to win a handcrafted card!

If you would like to order the My Digital Studio software, please click here to shop in my online store.  Remember you can earn the Hooray for a Party Digital Download for FREE (Sale-a-bration item) with a $50 purchase.

You can find a complete list of supplies used for this project at the very bottom of this post.

PHOTOPOLYMER STAMPS

We’ve searched long and hard for just the right material to be able to introduce completely clear stamping. And we’ve found it. We’re excited to announce that we now have wood-mount, clear-mount AND photopolymer stamps! The new photopolymer will be an addition to our stamp line and will appeal to all types of stampers. Our top-quality photopolymer has just enough give to create a perfectly stamped image every time and with the introduction of our firm-foam pads, let’s just say they’re meant for each other! Photopolymer stamps will also be unique, fun designs that will inspire you and provide more versatile options you may not see in our traditional wood- and clear-mount stamp options.

What makes them so great?

  • They’re entirely transparent for perfect placement every time!
  • They are durable. The photopolymer material is designed to last.
  • Can you say sticky? (Don’t worry; in a good way.) These stamps stick amazingly well to our clear blocks.
  • They’re age tested. They won’t yellow or cloud up over time.
  • We could go on, but we’ll let you try them for yourself.

They are clearly a great choice.  To see the new photopolymer stamp sets from  Stampin’ Up! click here.
