January 2015 My Paper Pumpkin – Stampin’ Up!

Today I want to share with you the January 2015 Paper Pumpkin kit.  This kit is so cute, and just in time for Valentine’s Day!

January 2015 Paper Pumpkin (3 of 7)

The kit came with the supplies to make 24 treat bags and tags! Everything you would need for an entire classroom of little children for Valentine’s Day!

January 2015 Paper Pumpkin (5 of 7)

This project came together very quickly and it was easy and fun to do.  I’m planning to let my son give these treats to his friends in the neighborhood, and I’m going to give the rest to the administrators and secretarial staff at my school as a little thank you gift for Valentine’s day.  Wouldn’t it be great to come to work and see one of these cute little treats on your desk?

January 2015 Paper Pumpkin (1 of 7) January 2015 Paper Pumpkin (2 of 7)

Although this particular project was pretty intuitive, Paper Pumpkin always comes complete with detailed instructions that show you exactly what to do.  That makes it the perfect gift for someone who is new to stamping!

January 2015 Paper Pumpkin (7 of 7)

For most of the treat bags, I followed the directions in the kit and used only the stamps and ink provided, but for this one, I couldn’t resist doing a personalized touch by using the Sophisticated Serifs alphabet stamp set from Stampin’ Up!  Isn’t that precious?  I love anything with my initials on it! LOL. 🙂

January 2015 Paper Pumpkin (6 of 7)

November My Paper Pumpkin – Stampin’ Up!

I’m a little behind schedule with sharing the November Paper Pumpkin kit… the December kit will be arriving soon!  I can’t wait to see what it holds, because this last one was just too cute!

Snowflake November Paper Pumpkin (1 of 4)

The kit came with the supplies to make 8 cards and 12 gift tags! They even included snowflake embellishments for the envelopes!

Snowflake November Paper Pumpkin (4 of 4)

I love all the details of this set.  The die cut snowflakes, the gatefold closure tied with silver bakers twine,  rhinestone and washi tape accents just to name a few.

Snowflake November Paper Pumpkin (2 of 4)

The silver foil used for the snowflakes and the hole reinforcement on the gift tags really sparkles and gives them a festive feel.  I think they will be lovely under the tree with silver ribbon on my packages.  The double layered tag also adds an element of interest.  You can see a bit of the silver washi tape peeking out from the bottom layer, and there is even a “to:    from:” stamp on the white layer underneath.

Snowflake November Paper Pumpkin (3 of 4)

This kit was fun to put together, and I was able to create 8 cards and 12 gift tags in one evening!  You’ve got to love a quick and easy project!  If you are a fan be sure to pin this project to Pinterest for me.  You will find a “pin it” button at the very bottom of the post after the weekly deals.

September My Paper Pumpkin – Stampin’ Up!

Yesterday, I shared several Halloween projects that I created for the Happy Stampers Blog Hop.  Each of my projects were embellished with extra items from my September Paper Pumpkin kit.  Today, I am sharing the projects from that kit.  Aren’t these burlap treat bags just adorable!

September Paper Pumpkin (5 of 5)

The kit came with 6 burlap bags, and lots of extra tags, stickers, sequins, and clothespins.  I have used the stamp set and stickers for several other projects already.  The stamps are photopolymer, and the set included the stamps of the sticker images, so when I run out of stickers, I can still use the stamps for the same effect!  Stampin’ Up really did a great job with this kit.  My son and I are going to enjoy giving these out to friends this Halloween!

September Paper Pumpkin (4 of 5)

I filled each sack with candy, and they are all ready to give out to Carter’s teachers, and a few of my co-workers next week!

Happy Stampers Fall Blog Hop – Stampin’ Up!

Happy Stampers Fall Blog Hop

I am so excited about today’s projects.  I love it when the Happy Stampers group does a Blog Hop!  Today, we have created projects with a Halloween or Thanksgiving theme.  This may be your first stop on the blog hop, or you may have linked to me from Sandi MacIver’s website.  Either way, I hope you enjoy the projects I have in store for you today.  I have a trio of coordinated projects for you today featuring the Motley Monsters DSP and Fall Fest stamp set from the Stampin’ Up! Holiday Catalog.  My first project for you today is a cute Halloween card created with the Fall Fest stamp set and coordinating Fun Fall Framelits Dies.  I started by adhering panels of the Motley Monsters DSP to the front of a black card base.

Motley Monsters (4 of 9)

I used some leftover items from my September Paper Pumpkin kit for the sentiment panel & greeting.  Finally, I added lots of cute fall elements along the bottom of the card.

Motley Monsters (6 of 9)

I finished the card off by stamping “Happy Halloween” from the September Paper Pumpkin kit on the inside of the card.  I also added a strip of the Motley Monsters DSP and a cute bird sticker from the Paper Pumpkin kit.

Motley Monsters (7 of 9)

For my second project, I continued the theme by maintaining the same color scheme and using the Motley Monsters DSP.  I used Basic Black card stock to create a bag and embellished it with tags cut from the DSP using the Banner Framelits Dies.  As a last minute addition, I also created a coordinating pillow box with my leftover monster paper. I love the use of the White & Tangerine Tango Two-Tone Trim to finish things off.

Motley Monsters (3 of 9)

Finally, I just had to use my Gift Card Envelope & Trims Thinlits Dies to create an adorable Halloween gift card holder!  This item is possibly my favorite product form the Holiday Catalog (although it is impossible to choose just one)!  It makes creating gift card envelopes so simple!  As a busy mom, I love giving and receiving gift cards, but I hate just sticking them inside a card.  I enjoy packaging them in something cute, and this Thinlits set makes that so quick and easy!

Motley Monsters (1 of 9)
I have a wonderful neighbor who keeps surprising me by mowing my lawn.  He is a music teacher, so I decided to thank him with an iTunes gift card.  I didn’t just want to give him the gift card, so I created a little card to insert inside the envelope.  Isn’t this set just adorable!

Motley Monsters (2 of 9)
Of course, a blog hop wouldn’t be complete without some blog candy!  For this blog hop, I’m going to give one of you the opportunity to experience My Paper Pumpkin.  One of the great things about My Paper Pumpkin is that there are always some extra materials that you can use for additional projects, as you’ve seen today.  I used the stamps, extra tags, stickers, clothespins, and sequins that were leftover from my September kit to create today’s projects.  For your chance to win the October kit, please leave me a comment.  You can either give me feedback about today’s projects, or tell me what your favorite item is from the Holiday Catalog.  I will announce the winner in my Tuesday updates post on October 28th!  Good luck, I can’t wait to hear your comments.

Sweet Stripes from Paper Pumpkin – Stampin’ Up!

Last week, while I was home caring for my sick little guy, a surprise arrived in the mail… My Paper Pumpkin!  It is always fun to see what’s in the box.  And, it was nice to have a simple project that I could work on while he was napping!

August 2014 Paper Pumpkin (3 of 5)

I have to say I love this month’s kit.  It came with enough supplies to create four large cards and four small cards plus some super cute envelopes to match.  There were also extra die cut sheets and banners that I can use for another project (also nice in case you make a mistake).

August 2014 Paper Pumpkin (4 of 5)

The kit includes everything you need… card bases, banners, stamps, ink, adhesive, envelopes, embellishments.  The only thing I had to provide was a pair of scissors. Another nice thing about this kit is that it covered many different occasions: friendship, congratulations, birthday, and thank you!  🙂

August 2014 Paper Pumpkin (5 of 5)

The kit includes a cute little circle stamp perfect for making the small polka dots on the white die cut panel.  However, after stamping small polka dots on three of the cards, I decided to pull out my Gorgeous Grunge stamp set and play with it instead.  I love the effect, and I have to admit it went much faster than the individual polka-dots.

August 2014 Paper Pumpkin (6 of 5)

Check out the cute envelopes that came with this month’s Paper Pumpkin kit.  The large cards came with pink and yellow solid envelopes, but the smaller cards had cute polka-dots and stars on them!  The small cards are just the perfect size to put on top of a gift too!  For the smaller cards, I used the And Many More stamp set to change up the greetings.

Happy Birthday Card from Paper Pumpkin – Stampin’ Up!

Last week, as I dealt with everything that was going on in my life, I realized I had a friend with a birthday today.  I was so grateful to have My Paper Pumpkin kit from July all ready to go.  I sat down and in a matter of minutes I had a cute birthday card all ready to go!  Everything I needed was in that box!

July 2014 Paper Pumpkin (3 of 3)For the inside of this card, I used the little star stamp that came with the Paper Pumpkin kit to create a cute border.  I stamped each star image three times without re-inking my stamp to create some added dimension.

July 2014 Paper Pumpkin (5 of 3)The July Paper Pumpkin kit came with everything I needed to make 6 cards and 6 cute gift boxes.  So far, I’ve only created this one card, but I can’t wait to delve into the kit to create some more fun items.  I started a new job this week as the Instructional Technology Specialist at my school.  I will be working with teachers to help them integrate technology into their classrooms.  I think the little gift boxes will be perfect for little treats for my teachers when they try something new!

Happy Fourth of July with Paper Pumpkin – Stampin’ Up!

Happy Fourth of July everyone!  I finally got around to breaking out my June Paper Pumpkin kit.  It was just perfect to celebrate Independence Day!  I created a few different projects with the kit: a wreath, a card, and some pinwheels in a wall vase.  This was my first month of My Paper Pumpkin.  It was really easy to put together with simple instructions, and kind of fun to get a surprise craft in the mail.  To subscribe to My Paper Pumpkin click here.

June Paper Pumpkin (2 of 14)

This whimsical wreath was created by gluing several pinwheels from the kit onto a styrofoam wreath form.  Then I embellished by pushing tulle into the styrofoam with a skewer to fill in the gaps.  I took inspiration from my friend Amy Koenders, and flattened some of the straws that came with the kit and then wrapped them around a pencil to create some curly cue embellishments.

June Paper Pumpkin (3 of 14)

Although the wreath was fun to create, the pinwheels also were really cute all by themselves.  I have a wall vase that one of my students gave me, and I put a few of the pinwheels in there.  It was a great festive decoration, with very little effort.

June Paper Pumpkin (7 of 14)

Finally, I used some of the leftover pinwheels and punched a few banners with the banner punch.  I used those to create a 4th of July inspired card.  I chose to use the Everything Eleanor stamp set because I thought it gave a suggestion of fireworks.

June Paper Pumpkin (9 of 14)

I hope you have a wonderful 4th of July!  Enjoy spending time with friends and family and try to squeeze in a little creative time for yourself.
