As soon as I saw the 2015 Spring Occasions Catalog from Stampin’ Up! I just knew I had to get my hands on the new chalkboard paper and Color Box Chalk Ink Pads! The Big Day stamp set from Sale-A-Bration seemed like just the perfect accompaniment too!
I just love Sale-A-Bration! It is so fun to get FREE product with every $50 purchase! I love how the Best Year Ever DSP compliments the colors of this card, and the Best Year Ever Accessory Pack had the perfect ribbon for my bow too! So, basically, about 90% of this card was created with products that I got for FREE!
I am a big fan of the effect that was achieved with the chalkboard paper and chalk inks too! In order to get the white on black chalk effect, I used white craft ink (which requires a little extra drying time, so you have to be a little careful when assembling your card.)
I finished off the inside of my card with two of the sentiments & the cake image from the Big Day stamp set. I just love the cute images and the sayings in this set. Such a cute card, and with very little effort!
I really like how this card turned out. It makes me think of a chalkboard menu in a quaint little bakery.
