Santa & Co. and Nordic Noel Holiday Treat Boxes – Stampin’ Up!

You know you are an avid crafter when you decide to give baked goods as gifts just so that you have a reason to make cute gift boxes!  I spent an entire day baking last week for that very reason!  Boy, am I backwards!  Anyway, I just love how these cute boxes turned out.  I’ve still got more to make for all of my homemade sweet treats, so you can expect to see more of these from me soon. LOL. 🙂

DSP Gift Boxes (6 of 9)

These gift boxes are a great way to use up leftover holiday DSP too!  I was able to create each box using a 6″ x 6″ sheet of the primary DSP design and a 3-1/2″ x 1-1/2″ scrap of the accent DSP design.

I found the directions for this cute Santa punch art piece on Pinterest.  You can see the directions for how to make it on Alexandra Bleicher’s blog by clicking here.  Isn’t he just adorable, and the Nordic Noel DSP sets him off perfectly! (Note: She used two retired punches, the ornament punch and the blossom petals punch to create the hat, but I think you could substitute oval or circle punches and just trim them to be the right shape.)

DSP Gift Boxes (8 of 9)

I must admit that I wasn’t crazy about these two designs from the Santa & Co. DSP pack, but I love how they turned out on these boxes!  The tree designs blend seamlessly with the Tree Punch.  I also like that these are a little more masculine than some of my other designs (although I think they are also suitable for females).

I love how the Red Glimmer Paper mat makes this sentiment pop!  Sometimes you just need a little dazzle to brighten things up!

As I said earlier, these are the first of many treat boxes!  I am having so much fun making them… it was definitely worth all the hours in the kitchen!  If you are a fan of this project, please pin it to Pinterest for me.  You will find a “pin it” button at the bottom of this post below the supply list.

Happy Stampers Holiday Blog Hop – Stampin’ Up!

November Blog Hop

The Happy Stampers group is back with another blog hop!  Today, we have created projects with a holiday theme. This may be your first stop on the blog hop, or you may have linked to me from Amy Koender’s website. Either way, I hope you enjoy the projects I have in store for you today.  My projects today feature the Under the Tree Specialty DSP and the Festival of Trees stamp set from the Stampin’ Up! Holiday Catalog.  I just love how these turned out!

Festival of Trees Blog Hop (4 of 8)

For my birthday, my sister gave me a massage gift certificate, and I ended up winning a candle in a drawing from the spa.  I decided to create a custom box for the candle, using my gift box punch board and the fantastic Under the Tree Specialty DSP!

Festival of Trees Blog Hop (1 of 8)

The box fits the candle perfectly! I jazzed up the adorable package by creating a belly band and adorning it with a tag created using the Festival of Trees stamp set and coordinating Tree Punch.  I stamped my tree on whisper white card stock and then sandwiched it between two circles of craft card stock.  Add a star, and some other embellishments and presto… you have a super cute package that anyone would love to receive.

For my card, I used the same elements to create a coordinated look.  I used the stars textured embossing folder on the card base, to add some extra dimension to the front of the card.  I like how it mirrors the star on top of the tree and adds extra texture to the design.  I also looped a little linen thread behind the tag to provide another interesting element.  I like how it all came together.

I finished off the inside of my card, by adding a strip of the Under the Tree Specialty DSP to the inside of the card.  I am really pleased with how these projects turned out!
