Happy Stampers Fall Blog Hop – Stampin’ Up!

Happy Stampers Fall Blog Hop

I am so excited about today’s projects.  I love it when the Happy Stampers group does a Blog Hop!  Today, we have created projects with a Halloween or Thanksgiving theme.  This may be your first stop on the blog hop, or you may have linked to me from Sandi MacIver’s website.  Either way, I hope you enjoy the projects I have in store for you today.  I have a trio of coordinated projects for you today featuring the Motley Monsters DSP and Fall Fest stamp set from the Stampin’ Up! Holiday Catalog.  My first project for you today is a cute Halloween card created with the Fall Fest stamp set and coordinating Fun Fall Framelits Dies.  I started by adhering panels of the Motley Monsters DSP to the front of a black card base.

I used some leftover items from my September Paper Pumpkin kit for the sentiment panel & greeting.  Finally, I added lots of cute fall elements along the bottom of the card.

I finished the card off by stamping “Happy Halloween” from the September Paper Pumpkin kit on the inside of the card.  I also added a strip of the Motley Monsters DSP and a cute bird sticker from the Paper Pumpkin kit.

For my second project, I continued the theme by maintaining the same color scheme and using the Motley Monsters DSP.  I used Basic Black card stock to create a bag and embellished it with tags cut from the DSP using the Banner Framelits Dies.  As a last minute addition, I also created a coordinating pillow box with my leftover monster paper. I love the use of the White & Tangerine Tango Two-Tone Trim to finish things off.

Finally, I just had to use my Gift Card Envelope & Trims Thinlits Dies to create an adorable Halloween gift card holder!  This item is possibly my favorite product form the Holiday Catalog (although it is impossible to choose just one)!  It makes creating gift card envelopes so simple!  As a busy mom, I love giving and receiving gift cards, but I hate just sticking them inside a card.  I enjoy packaging them in something cute, and this Thinlits set makes that so quick and easy!

I have a wonderful neighbor who keeps surprising me by mowing my lawn.  He is a music teacher, so I decided to thank him with an iTunes gift card.  I didn’t just want to give him the gift card, so I created a little card to insert inside the envelope.  Isn’t this set just adorable!

Of course, a blog hop wouldn’t be complete without some blog candy!  For this blog hop, I’m going to give one of you the opportunity to experience My Paper Pumpkin.  One of the great things about My Paper Pumpkin is that there are always some extra materials that you can use for additional projects, as you’ve seen today.  I used the stamps, extra tags, stickers, clothespins, and sequins that were leftover from my September kit to create today’s projects.  For your chance to win the October kit, please leave me a comment.  You can either give me feedback about today’s projects, or tell me what your favorite item is from the Holiday Catalog.  I will announce the winner in my Tuesday updates post on October 28th!  Good luck, I can’t wait to hear your comments.

  1. So cute Heather. I love cards but love, love little boxes of any type and yours are adorable too. I see I have some projects on my horizon.

  2. As always, I’m so impressed with everything you make. I think the gift card idea is my favorite. I may just have to make a few to have on hand in the future. I could make some that aren’t occasion specific and just have them on hand. Let’s make some together!

  3. Great projects, Heather! For some reason the sequins catch my eye and along with the twine and clothespin are a super cute finish to your bag. Cute pillow box, too. Thank you for the inspiration!

  4. Awesome card and projects! Those pumpkins are adorable. They really make me smile. Your 3d projects are so neat and colorful. May I ask how you make that cute pillow box? Is there a SU die to make it? Thanks so much for sharing with us,

  5. My list of faves is too long to leave here! But I did get the Ornamental Pine set and am making a set of Christmas cards for my mom – she loves pine cones. She can probably expect to get a lot more “piney” things from me! Love your projects.

  6. I love your group of projects, especially the black bag and pillow box. THe Motley Monsters paper is one of my favorite things—and pretty much everything else in the holiday catalog! 🙂

  7. You out did your self with all those wonderful projects! I want to eat the candy corn right off the card! The Witch’s bag and the little monster box are adorable just too cute! It really shows that you put a lot of thought into this blog hop and made it fun for all of us.Thanks ! Thanks for a shot at you generous Blog Candy too!

  8. I also love all the treat boxes. This blog hop has given me so many ideas. Your cards are very cute also. Thanks for the ideas.

  9. So glad to see you up and running again! Awesome projects-love the way you did the gift card holder. What a nice surprise for your neighbor, too!

  10. I love all your projects!! It’s nearly impossible to choose a favorite item from the catalog, but I’m going to have to say that it is the gift card holder die. I give away SO many gift cards to teachers each year…8 teachers x 4-5 each per year = a lot!! I don’t like just throwing the gift card inside the card I make, so I always create some kind of a holder/mini envelope to go along. This thinlit is a HUGE time saver.

  11. I adore the gift card holder you made for your neighbor. I know he will appreciate it! The colors you used today are just wonderful for my favorite holiday. 🙂

  12. Your projects are all so fabulous. Love them all. Your neighbor is lucky to have you next door. I’m sure he will love his gift card holder.

  13. Really cute projects! I especially love the little pillow box you made. I would say my favorite set from the Holiday Catalog is Holiday Home. I think there is so much potential for this set. Thanks for a chance to win some awesome blog candy! Maggie C.

  14. Playing catch up from a busy last week…..LOVE your first card and will definitely be CASEing it…your other pieces are wonderful as well.

  15. Hi Heather,

I love all of your cute projects!!! 🙂

How did you make the pillow box?

Thank you so much for sharing!
