September My Paper Pumpkin – Stampin’ Up!

Yesterday, I shared several Halloween projects that I created for the Happy Stampers Blog Hop.  Each of my projects were embellished with extra items from my September Paper Pumpkin kit.  Today, I am sharing the projects from that kit.  Aren’t these burlap treat bags just adorable!

September Paper Pumpkin (5 of 5)

The kit came with 6 burlap bags, and lots of extra tags, stickers, sequins, and clothespins.  I have used the stamp set and stickers for several other projects already.  The stamps are photopolymer, and the set included the stamps of the sticker images, so when I run out of stickers, I can still use the stamps for the same effect!  Stampin’ Up really did a great job with this kit.  My son and I are going to enjoy giving these out to friends this Halloween!

I filled each sack with candy, and they are all ready to give out to Carter’s teachers, and a few of my co-workers next week!

Happy Stampers Fall Blog Hop – Stampin’ Up!

Happy Stampers Fall Blog Hop

I am so excited about today’s projects.  I love it when the Happy Stampers group does a Blog Hop!  Today, we have created projects with a Halloween or Thanksgiving theme.  This may be your first stop on the blog hop, or you may have linked to me from Sandi MacIver’s website.  Either way, I hope you enjoy the projects I have in store for you today.  I have a trio of coordinated projects for you today featuring the Motley Monsters DSP and Fall Fest stamp set from the Stampin’ Up! Holiday Catalog.  My first project for you today is a cute Halloween card created with the Fall Fest stamp set and coordinating Fun Fall Framelits Dies.  I started by adhering panels of the Motley Monsters DSP to the front of a black card base.

Motley Monsters (4 of 9)

I used some leftover items from my September Paper Pumpkin kit for the sentiment panel & greeting.  Finally, I added lots of cute fall elements along the bottom of the card.

Motley Monsters (6 of 9)

I finished the card off by stamping “Happy Halloween” from the September Paper Pumpkin kit on the inside of the card.  I also added a strip of the Motley Monsters DSP and a cute bird sticker from the Paper Pumpkin kit.

Motley Monsters (7 of 9)

For my second project, I continued the theme by maintaining the same color scheme and using the Motley Monsters DSP.  I used Basic Black card stock to create a bag and embellished it with tags cut from the DSP using the Banner Framelits Dies.  As a last minute addition, I also created a coordinating pillow box with my leftover monster paper. I love the use of the White & Tangerine Tango Two-Tone Trim to finish things off.

Finally, I just had to use my Gift Card Envelope & Trims Thinlits Dies to create an adorable Halloween gift card holder!  This item is possibly my favorite product form the Holiday Catalog (although it is impossible to choose just one)!  It makes creating gift card envelopes so simple!  As a busy mom, I love giving and receiving gift cards, but I hate just sticking them inside a card.  I enjoy packaging them in something cute, and this Thinlits set makes that so quick and easy!

I have a wonderful neighbor who keeps surprising me by mowing my lawn.  He is a music teacher, so I decided to thank him with an iTunes gift card.  I didn’t just want to give him the gift card, so I created a little card to insert inside the envelope.  Isn’t this set just adorable!

Of course, a blog hop wouldn’t be complete without some blog candy!  For this blog hop, I’m going to give one of you the opportunity to experience My Paper Pumpkin.  One of the great things about My Paper Pumpkin is that there are always some extra materials that you can use for additional projects, as you’ve seen today.  I used the stamps, extra tags, stickers, clothespins, and sequins that were leftover from my September kit to create today’s projects.  For your chance to win the October kit, please leave me a comment.  You can either give me feedback about today’s projects, or tell me what your favorite item is from the Holiday Catalog.  I will announce the winner in my Tuesday updates post on October 28th!  Good luck, I can’t wait to hear your comments.

Work of Art Gift Bag… A Sneak Preview from Stampin’ Up!

On Wednesday, I shared with you the lovely coasters that I made for my mom for mother’s day.  Today, I’m going to show you how I used the fabulous Work of Art stamp set form Stampin’ Up! to create a super cute gift bag to put them in.  This stamp set is one of the brand new sets that will be available with the release of the new annual catalog on June 1st.  I just received my catalogs in the mail yesterday and I will be sending out complimentary copies to my customers!  If you place a $25 order with me during the month of May you will receive a copy of the new catalog in the mail for your reading enjoyment!  Just one more reason to go ahead and order those items from the Spring occasions catalog and the retiring list before they are gone!  Happy shopping! (I will also be launching a new customer loyalty program soon.  Every $25 purchase will earn creativity credits that can be used for free stuff.  More details will follow, but all orders placed during the month of May will qualify.)

Work of Art (2 of 7)-Edit

Isn’t that just adorable?  I know my mom will love it, and it was really quick and easy too!  If you are a fan of this project, I would love to hear your thoughts.  Also, if you find inspiration from my work, why not have my posts delivered to your inbox automatically.  Just click the “follow” button in the sidebar to subscribe.  Please help me get to 200 followers by telling your friends who love crafting about my blog!

Work of Art (7 of 7)-Edit

I started my project by cutting a banner in Whisper White card stock using the second largest Banner Framelits Die.  Then I trimmed the banner to be 2″ wide and punched the top using my Scalloped Tag Topper Punch.   Next, I stamped the “paint stroke” stamps from Work of Art in Coastal Cabana, Strawberry Slush, and Crisp Cantaloupe ink.  Then I stamped my sentiment on top using Stazon Black ink.

Work of Art (4 of 7)-Edit

For a layered effect, I cut strips of Designer Series Paper (from the In Color DSP stack) in Coastal Cabana and Crisp Cantaloupe.  I used my hexagon punch to create the banner end at the bottom.  Then I adhered the layers together with Stampin’ Dimensionals and tied a length of Strawberry Slush Stretch Ruffle Trim around them.

Work of Art (3 of 7)-Edit

Next, I used my Stamp-a-ma-jig to stamp the chevron image across the bottom of a white gift bag in Coastal Cabana ink.  I stamped the circle image in Strawberry Slush above the chevrons to get a polkadot effect.  To add a little dimension, I stamped off for some of the circles and stamped others full strength.

Work of Art (6 of 7)-Edit

I think the packaging of this gift is almost as great as what is inside.  I can’t wait to give them to my mom!  I hope you will give this a try too.  Be sure to pin this project to Pinterest for future inspiration!  If you scroll to the bottom of this post, you will find a complete list of supplies used to make today’s project.  Below the supply list, you will find a “pin it” button.  I would appreciate your help in spreading the word about my work.

If you find inspiration from this blog, one way you can show your support is by selecting me as your personal Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator.  One great thing about being a demonstrator is getting to preview some of the new products before they are available to the general public!  But don’t worry, you will be able to purchase the Work of Art stamp set from Stampin’ Up! in just a few short weeks.  In the meantime, if you need any stamping supplies you can shop now in my online store!  I would love to help you out.  Feel free to drop me an email if you have any questions.  I’m here to help!

Happy Stamping!
